Atlona Technologies Releases new HDMI EDID Recorder-Writer with Serial Control tool, the AT-HDSync

The analog to digital transition in the AV world is almost complete, but still plagued by sync issues. As a solution based manufacturer of Audio Video accessories, Atlona Technologies strives to eliminate the issues end users and installers face, no matter the application. When desired HD sources are unable able to recognize displays, and vice versa, this inability to display the image properly if at all, can make the difference between a successful install, or having margin eaten away from return visits. Atlona has officially released a guaranteed fix to sync issues with the new HDSync. This companion to their previous DVI EDID Recorder (AT-DVISync) can emulate the EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) information. It can record EDID/DDC (Display Data Channel) information of any desired HD display, and place that recorded information between the source and the conjoint component (ie: switcher, extender, processor, etc…). Essentially, this unit will trick the source into thinking that it is connected to the display the entire time.

Atlona’s HDSync stores the EDID information and recalls a default EDID setting in non-volatile memory that supports HDCP handshaking. AT-HDSync allows your HDMI source to boot directly from AT-HDSync, so users can detach the monitor from the HDMI connection at any time while installing. In addition, the HDSync can read and store the EDID of your HDMI display and give users the ability to modify the EDID and upload the modified EDID to displays.

The AT-HDSync will be on display at CEDIA 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia and is currently available with an MSRP of $149.00

Atlona announces three new product categories for the AV industry

tlona Technologies, a solutions based manufacturer of Audio video accessories, announces the inception of three new product categories aimed at the specific needs of individual markets.

Seeking a way to better serve their primary markets, Atlona Technologies announces today the separation of their products into three product categories; Atlona CE (Consumer Electronics), Atlona Si (System Integrator), and Atlona Signature (Professional, Commercial). Atlona Technologies has provided the AV industry with solution based products that cover areas typically missing in most AV setups. The decision to form three branches within their overall product line was made in order to develop products that better serve the specific needs of each market.

Atlona CE, a line geared specifically toward end users and retail purchasers, includes products such as The AT-HDAiR, Atlona’s wireless USB to HDMI converter. “We will continue to provide the highest quality to our consumer purchasers” Said Jim Savitskiy, Atlona’s Retail Sales Director “These products will be simple and easy to use solutions that anyone can install and operate.” Atlona CE lines will continue to be carried by major retailers such as Tiger Direct, and online vendors such as Buy.com or Amazon.

Atlona Si, The system integrator line, will include products that require a little more AV know-how, and will most often be installed by a CEDIA, or commercially certified installers. This line will include products such as the DIS7-HD, Atlona’s HD testing monitor. The Atlona Si line will provide a full range of solutions that cover almost every conceivable issue one may face in any Home Theater, or light commercial AV system. The Si line will continue to be carried by major distributors such as Stampede and Electronic Custom Distributing (ECD).

Atlona Signature will include Atlona’s most industrious products such as their large format DVI matrix switchers. Typically these products will find their home in large scale digital signage, Government, Military, and heavy commercial applications. This line will be geared toward commercial integrators, and will provide a level of quality and reliability that is necessary for even the most mission critical AV systems such as Medical imaging, and military intelligence comm. centers.

All previously existing Atlona products have been separated into the three new categories, with new products already in development. For more information about Atlona’s products lines please visit their website at www.atlona.com

Atlona Technologies Releases new HDMI (1.3) Audio De-Embedder with 2x1 HDMI switching capabilities, the AT-HD577.

Atlona Technologies releases their most advanced HDMI1.3 Audio De-Embedder with 2x1 HDMI switching capabilities as well as 3D support.

Atlona Technologies, a leading manufacturer of AV connectivity products, has announced the official release of their newest high quality HDMI 1.3 Audio De-Embedder designed for users to isolate high quality digital audio signal from multiple HDMI sources. The AT-HD577 is an advanced, professional version of the previous AT-HD570. The AT-HD577 offers a number of options for re-routing the audio including standard stereo (RCA) audio, digital coaxial, and optical. This new, advanced Audio De-embedder gives you the availability to remove the audio from your HDMI source so that you can re-route it to a secondary audio output device. The stand out feature of this unit is the fact that offers 2x1 HDMI switching for applications requiring easy access to multiple HDMI sources such as HDMI home theater systems and PC HDMI/DVI devices.

The AT-HD577 offers high bit rate HDMI 1.3 data that can scale down the color depth, allowing compliancy with HDMI 1.2 and DVI 1.1 in order to ease the limitation of the transmission distance and gain higher compatibility to the display without noticeable video degradation. The beneficial purpose of replacing the AT-HD577 with RCA instead of the AT-HD570’s 3.5mm ports was specifically for the purpose of more conventional audio ports for easier connection to you home theater, or alternative audio sources. To broaden the spectrum of HDMI audio output, high quality 7.1 channel analog audio outputs and stereo S/PDIF in both Toslink and RCA connectors are seamlessly integrated into this new unit.

With embedded 3D support capabilities, Atlona’s AT-HD577 is the perfect product for applications from Home Theater installations, with surround sound capabilities, to digital signage applications in which audio from an HD Display will be routed to a multi channel audio set-up. By offering the highest compatibility to HDMI 1.3 in the market today, the HD577 will truly enrich full digital video and audio experiences in the cost-effective and efficient manner.

Atlona’s AT-HD577 can be seen at CEDIA 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia and is currently available with an MSRP of $279.00
