Atlona Technologies Announces the Release of their Newest SDI Converters for the Broadcasting Community.

Atlona Technologies officially releases two new SDI Converters for the Broadcasting Community, the AT-SDI220 and AT-SDI230

Atlona Technologies, solutions based manufacturer of Audio Video accessories, has just announced the release of their newest SDI Converters for the Broadcast and Security market. These new SDI converters are the AT-SDI220 and the AT-SDI230. The AT-SDI220 is an analog video to SDI converter with audio. The AT-SDI230 is designed for those looking to go the opposite direction, acting as a SDI to Analog video converter with audio.

Atlona’s AT-SDI220 is designed to convert 1 x component analog (3 x BNC input), S-video (2 x BNC input), and 1 x composite video (1 x BNC input), to up to two SDI outputs. In addition, this unit supports resolutions of 525i at 30hrz and 635i at 25hrz. An essential benefit of the AT-SDI220 is the ability to convert an output from a video camera or security camera, and feed it directly into the desired SDI capture device.

The AT-SDI230 is designed to convert a single SDI input to 1 x SDI loop out, 1 x component analog output, an S-Video output, and a composite video output. A unique feature to the SDI230 is its ability to support NTSC/PAL/SECAM. This unit is ideal for users looking to convert an output from a video mixer or camera in order to view on a local display or to feed the needed information into the capture card for recording.

These SDI converter feature phoenix audio connections, giving them the capability of 2 channel audio with the support of 525i30 and 625i25 formats. Input formats for both models can be selected by the dip switches located on the sides of each device. The compact design of these units will allow these converters to remain out of sight in any installation environment. Atlona’s SDI Converters offer the most convenient and effective means for converting high quality SDI signal in the market, and are perfect for any broadcasting or security application.

Atlona’s new SDI converters are currently available for the following MSRPS:

AT-SDI220: $399.00

Atlona Technologies, a solutions based manufacturer of Audio Video products, has advanced their previous 8x8 HDMI 1.3 over CAT5 Matrix Switcher with a Pro AV model with 8 added IR Pass-through and LAN Control, AT-PROHD88M-SR.

Atlona Technologies is excited to announce the release of their most advanced and industrious HDMI1.3 Matrix Switcher in the market today with the AT-PROHD88M-SR. This Pro AV model is a True 8x8:2 HDMI matrix switch. Atlona’s PROHD88M-SR features eight HDMI 1.3 inputs, and eight independently switchable HDMI and Twister Pair outputs to feed eight separate displays simultaneously. This unit also has the ability of equalization, amplification and re-clocking the signal to ensure accurate HDMI signal transmission through long cables without quality loss. Each output features 1 HDMI and 2 Twisted Pair connections where both are active at the same time. Twisted Pair outputs are used to connect to the eight included receiver modules.

The Atlona 8x8:2 Matrix can be controlled though: IR Back Channel, RS232, RS485, TCP/IP (LAN) or/and supplied remote control. “We at Atlona are looking forward to making LAN control a regular installment in all upcoming Pro AV products,” says Atlona Product Manager Michael Khain. Along with the advanced control ability with LAN Control, as well as RS485 and RS232 function, Atlona’s 8X8 HDMI Matrix Switcher’s IR functions allow users to access to an additional eight HD sources such as DVD players, Blu-Ray, PS3, Xbox 360 or any other HDMI devices directly, from the location of that HD display. Including manual control, that is a total of 5 control methods for this exceptional product. Installation is quick and easy without a needed power supply. With added metal handles in front for portability and positioning in rack mount installation applications, and support of discreet IR codes, installers will surely love this switcher.

“This product is the HDMI1.3 switcher professional installers have been waiting for, and it’s finally here,” says Atlona Company President. Not only will the transmission distance of Twister Pair (CAT5/6) outputs reach up to 100ft @ 1080P with infrared control signal, but that distance can be extended for additional 165ft with an optional Atlona repeater unit AT-PROHD-RP. Along with being fully HDCP compliant, the AT-PROHD88M-SR is embedded with state of the art Silicon Image Chipset. While Atlona’s previous 8x8 matrix switcher (AT-HD88M-SR) remains one of the most accomplished AV units in the industry today, its redefined counterpart has exceeded all expectations for an extremely modest upscale in price making this unit perfect for any application, whether it be for commercial, educational, or digital signage purposes.

Atlona Technologies to Release New 7 inch HDMI 1080P Monitor that will Revolutionize the AV Installation Industry.

Atlona Technologies announces the release of a New 7” High Definition Monitor with an HDMI Input, the AT-DIS7-HD, that could potentially save countless hours for AV installers all around the world

Almost every installer has faced issues in an installation where a faulty in-wall cable or connection is diagnosed after the drywall has been finished. In most cases this happens because the display is one of the last things to arrive at the jobsite. Atlona Technologies, solutions based manufacturer of Audio Video accessories, has recently addressed this issue with the AT-DIS7-HD, a 7 inch Testing Monitor designed to test cabling and component installations, where displays are remote or not yet present.

This portable battery powered display will recognize any HDMI or DVI source at resolutions up to 1080P or 1920x1200, and allow integrators and installers to observe both audio and video signal in real time. An added function allows users the ability to view signal information such as HDCP compliance, Resolution and Frequency, Digital format, and Audio information. The AT-DIS7-HD also features an EDID learning function that allows this unit to virtually copy the extended display identification data from any HDTV to accurately mimic that TV for testing purposes. With multiple control options including manual as well as IR Remote, the AT-DIS7-HD is perfect for installers and integrators looking for a simple solution to monitor or verify audio and video settings on remote displays.

Atlona’s DIS7-HD is available now with an affordable MSRP of $349.00, and can be seen in action at InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Atlona Technologies to unveil HDMI Pro AV 16x16 HDMI 1.3 over CAT5/6 Matrix Switch with 16 HDMI local outputs, AT-PROHD1616M-SR

Atlona Technologies, solutions based manufacturer of Audio Video products, releases the most industrious Pro AV Matrix Switcher on the market at InfoComm 2010, the AT-PROHD1616M-SR.

Integrators taking advantage of the many benefits of HDMI’s digital format have been hitting a wall when it comes to large format true matrix switching. While some matrix switches offer formats up to 8x8, many use what is called cross point switching, allowing each input to be viewed only on a single output. Other switches that offer true matrix switching are not HDCP compliant. Atlona’s newest switcher, the AT-PROHD1616M-SR, breaks down many barriers for integrators allowing true matrix HDCP compliant switching for up to 16 inputs.

Atlona Technologies has been consistently made headway in the AV industry with the continuous release of Matrix Switchers for all formats.  The newest addition to this Matrix line is no doubt their most advanced and industrious HDMI1.3 Matrix Switcher in the market today, the AT-PROHD1616M-SR. This Pro AV model is a True 16x16:2 HDMI matrix switcher featuring 16 HDMI 1.3 inputs, and eight independently switchable HDMI and Twister Pair outputs to feed eight separate displays simultaneously.

Unlike any other, this Atlona 16x16:2 Matrix has a total of seven available switching modes including; key buttons, touch panel, local IR, IR call back from remote locations, RS232, RS485 and Ethernet. “Atlona is extremely excited for installers to reap the benefits of this installers many control functions as well as numerous beneficial attributes,” says Atlona Product Manager Michael Khain. With these seven control functions, including IR, Atlona’s 16x16 HDMI Matrix Switcher allows users access to sixteen additional HD sources such as DVD players, Blu-Ray, PS3, Xbox 360, Digital Signage content delivery systems or any other HDMI devices directly, from the location of that HD display. With added metal handles in front for portability and positioning in rack mount installation applications, and support of discreet IR codes, installers will surely love this switcher.
Not only will the transmission distance of Twister Pair (CAT5/6) outputs reach up to 100ft @ 1080P with infrared control signal, but that distance can be extended for additional 165ft with an optional Atlona repeater units. Along with being fully HDCP compliant, the AT-PROHD1616M-SR is embedded with state of the art Silicon Image Chipset. Perhaps the most notable addition to this unit would be the 7 inch LCD front panel display, which will allow installers the ability to preview all signals transmitted as well as Monitor the Output sources. This 16x16:2 Matrix Switcher is perfect for any application, whether it be for commercial, educational, or digital signage purposes.

Atlona’s Pro AV model AT-PROHD1616M-SR is officially available today with an MSRP of $24999.00, and can be viewed at InfoComm 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Atlona Technologies Revolutionizes the High Definition World with new HDMI 1.4 Cables

Atlona Technologies, leading solutions based manufacturer of Audio Video accessories, Revolutionizes the AV Industry with HDMI1.4 Cables

Atlona Technologies gained a substantial market share in the custom installation market in 2006 with the release of their HDMI 1.3b Flat cable, designed to maximize distance and eliminate conductor cross talk. Today, Atlona announces the release of their first ever HDMI 1.4 cables, implementing the “flat” cable design.

New content is being produced daily that will utilize recent advances in AV technology including embedded rich content from the web, and 3D video. With HDMI 1.4, this content is now available for viewing in home theaters around the world. 3D video in particular is making its way to home viewers by summer of 2010, however; this content requires HDMI 1.4. HDMI’s latest specification supports several 3D formats including Frame Alternative, Line Alternative, Field Alternative, and several other popular formats. 3D formats are driving film makers to create tons of new content, including movies, games, and more. Panasonic and DirecTV have teamed up to create multiple 3D channels available to 3D Display owners, while Discovery Channel recently announced its plans with IMAX and Sony to offer a 3D channel of their own. These content providers are driving the 3D home revolution, while companies like Atlona are making the cables users will need to get that content on their screens.

Atlona Technologies, a leading audio video connectivity solutions manufacturer, has always been poised on the cutting edge of advances in the AV industry. This new line of cables is designed to surpass the specification requirements of HDMI 1.4, as with previous versions of the Flat HDMI cable line. “We rejected the notion of good, better, best early on, thinking everyone deserves the ‘best’ quality, but pay the ‘good’ price” says Christopher Bundy, Director of Marketing with Atlona Technologies.

Atlona cables feature a flat design that allows the cable to conform to flat surfaces such as a floor or wall, however; the reason for them being flat is better performance. “In a round cable, you have a bunch of conductors smashed around a drain (ground), but the shielding between conductors typically not enough to prevent distortion, especially at long distance” say Michael Khain, Head of Product Development with Atlona. Atlona new Flat HDMI 1.4 cables are not only designed sleek and smart, but also with a hint of green thanks to Atlona’s continuing devotion to Restrict Hazardous Material such as Lead and other materials from their production. The cables not only bare the ROhS certification, but are UL certified for in wall use (CL3).

Atlona’s New HDMI 1.4 cables are currently shipping in lengths ranging from 3 to 50 feet starting at $39.99.
